Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Bizonik helps you eat well and train. To do that, the app keeps some information about you, some of it about your health. This page tells you plainly which information, why, for how long, who can see it, and how you stay in control.
Our commitments, in short:
- Your data is never sold. Not rented, not traded.
- Never any advertising. No tracking, no advertising cookies, no audience measurement.
- Hosted in Switzerland, by Infomaniak, backups included.
- Your health, your consent. Nothing is processed without your explicit consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Artificial intelligence only if you want it. It has its own, separate consent, and you can turn it off in one tap.
- You stay in control. You can download all your data for free and delete your account from the app, whenever you like.
1. Who looks after your data
The controller of your data is:
Benjamin Alain CZAJKA (known as CZAJKA LÉGIER), sole
trader (egyéni vállalkozó)
Nyári Pál utca 15, 2724 Újlengyel, Hungary
Tax number: 90943197-2-33. EU VAT number: HU90943197
Contact: benjamin@webstratege.co
On this page, “Bizonik”, “we” or “us” means this controller. For any question about your data, write to the address above: a real person will answer.
2. The information the app keeps
Your account
- Your email address and password. The password is never stored in plain text: only a one-way fingerprint (hash) is kept.
- Your first name, so the app can address you by name.
- Your active logins (date, type of device and IP address), so you can see and close them from Account.
- Your language and time zone, to show the app in your language and count your days on your own clock.
Your profile
- Age (or date of birth), height, weight, sex, activity level and goal.
- The diet and the food or digestive sensitivities you tell us about, and your household (for portion sizes).
Your tracking
- Your log: meals, foods, quantities, estimated calories and nutrients, water.
- The photos of meals and products you take to have them analysed. We remove the GPS location from photos before keeping them.
- Your weight, your body measurements and their photos, if you record them.
- Your workouts: exercises, sets, reps, loads, dates.
- Your recipes, favourites and meal plans.
Your health check-ups (only if you turn them on, when they are offered to your account)
- The health appointments you add or set aside (for example a blood test, the dentist, screenings), the dates you went and the next dates, your country (to show you your country’s health guidelines), the appointments you booked (date and time) and the ones you missed, and the personal appointments you create, with their notes. Bizonik does not interpret any of this information: it only shows the guidelines published by health authorities and your own dates.
Your subscription
- The plan you chose, its dates and renewal status. This comes directly from Apple. We never see your bank card.
Technical information
- Server logs (IP address, date, type of device), for security.
- Artificial intelligence usage counters (number of analyses, without their content), to prevent abuse.
- Technical error reports, when a screen of the app runs into a problem (the kind of error, the place in the code and the page concerned), so that we can fix it. They contain no personal data: not your account, not your IP address, not what you typed.
What we never collect: your location, your contacts, an advertising identifier, your Apple Health data, or any audience measurement or tracking tool.
3. Your health and your consent
Your weight, measurements, food log and workouts can say something about your health. European law (GDPR, Article 9) gives them special protection. We therefore process them only with your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)), given through a box you tick yourself when you sign up.
Artificial intelligence analysis has its own, separate consent, asked only when you first use it. Without it, nothing is sent to artificial intelligence and you keep all manual tracking.
Health check-ups also have their own consent, separate, asked the first time you open “My health” when it is offered to your account. Some appointments can reveal intimate information (a screening, for example): only you can see them, and they are never sent to artificial intelligence or to anyone else, except to your own calendar if you ask for it (see “What you choose to share”). You can refuse it and keep everything else in the app; if you withdraw it, this data is erased.
You can withdraw each consent whenever you want, from Account, then Privacy, or by email, without giving any reason.
- Withdrawing the artificial intelligence consent simply turns analyses off. Everything else keeps working.
- The health consent is the heart of the app: without it, Bizonik cannot work. Withdrawing it therefore means deleting your account and its data.
Whatever was done before a withdrawal remains valid.
4. What your data is used for
- Running your account: logging you in, protecting your session. Legal basis: the contract between us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Daily tracking: estimating your needs, keeping your log, showing your progress, suggesting suitable recipes and workouts. Legal basis: the contract, and your explicit consent for health data (Article 9(2)(a)).
- Analysing your photos and the meals you describe in a few words, with artificial intelligence, if you turned it on. Legal basis: your explicit consent and the contract.
- Managing your subscription. Legal basis: the contract.
- Sending your account emails (confirming your address, changing your password). Legal basis: the contract, and our legitimate interest in keeping your account safe (Article 6(1)(f)). Never any advertising by email.
- Answering you when you write to us. Legal basis: the contract, or our legitimate interest in answering you.
- Protecting the service (preventing abuse, detecting intrusions, spotting and fixing errors in the app, making backups). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service and your data safe.
- Complying with the law (accounting, requests from an authority). Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Your data is never used for advertising, commercial profiling, or to train artificial intelligence.
No important decision about you is made by a machine alone (Article 22 GDPR). Artificial intelligence results are estimates, which you can always correct.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account and all your tracking: as long as your account exists. Your account is yours: we do not delete it behind your back, even if you take a break.
- A meal or a weigh-in you delete disappears from your log straight away, photo included: the photo file is erased at the same time as the meal.
- A photo you have analysed without adding it to your log (a product scanned just to check, for example) erases itself, within 3 months at the latest.
- In both cases, as for everything else, a trace may remain in our backups until they are renewed, within 12 months at the latest.
- When you delete your account, everything disappears from the app immediately: account, profile, log, photos, measurements, workouts, recipes, consents. Only a trace remains in our backups, which erase themselves as they are renewed, within 12 months at the latest. These backups stay in Switzerland and are used only to repair the service after an outage.
- What is sent to artificial intelligence: processed for the time of the answer. Our provider Anthropic does not use it to train its models and deletes it within 30 days, unless it must keep a request that breaks its usage rules for longer, for safety.
- Your account emails, at our email provider: 28 days for the content, 90 days at most for delivery statistics.
- Apple’s purchase messages (a purchase number, without your name or email): kept for our accounting, 8 years at most, as Hungarian law requires.
- Your exchanges with support: until your request is settled, then 3 years at most.
- Your health check-ups: as long as your account exists, or until you withdraw their consent.
- Technical server logs: 14 days.
- Technical error reports (no personal data): 30 days at most after the last time the error occurred.
- Your logins: an unused login closes by itself after 30 days.
6. Who can see your data
You, and the publisher of Bizonik. Nobody else in the app sees your log, your weight or your photos.
To run the app, we work with a few selected providers, who act only on our instructions and only for the service (processors under Article 28 GDPR):
- Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland): hosts the server, the database, the photos and the backups. The European Union recognises Switzerland as protecting data as well as it does.
- Anthropic, PBC (United States): artificial intelligence analysis, only if you turned it on. It receives the photo or text to analyse and the useful information (foods, quantities, goal), never your name or email. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Lettermint B.V. (Netherlands): sends your account emails. Everything stays in the European Union. No open or click tracking.
Apple (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland) sells your subscription and takes the payment, under its own responsibility and its own privacy policy. Apple only tells us whether your subscription is active.
Open Food Facts (free food product database, France): when you scan a product, our server asks it for the product sheet using the barcode alone. Nothing about you is sent. Its data is under the free ODbL licence.
What you choose to share:
- The shared product database. When you scan a product, its sheet (barcode, ingredients, nutrition values) enriches a shared database that helps other users. It contains neither your photo, nor your name, nor your account. Likewise, a food you add to the catalogue stays available for other people’s recipes, with no link to you.
- A recipe shared by link. Anyone with the link can see the recipe. You can cut the link whenever you want.
- Cooking together. If you link your account with someone else’s, they see your first name and your daily calorie target (to scale portions), and nothing else: not your weight, log or measurements. You can unlink at any time.
- Your calendar (health tracking). If you turn on “In my calendar”, Bizonik creates a secret address that your calendar app (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Proton…) reads regularly. It contains your scheduled appointments and upcoming due dates, with a neutral title (“Bizonik appointment”) unless you choose to show their names; never your notes. The calendar you choose then receives this information and handles it under its own privacy policy. We only keep a fingerprint of the address and the date it was last read. You can turn the address off at any time; it is also turned off if you withdraw your health tracking consent or delete your account.
- Waiting list, plan by email and news. If you ask on bizonik.com to be told when the app is released (and, if you tick the box, when the Bison plan opens), or on app.bizonik.com/commencer to get your plan by email without creating an account, we keep your email address, the language of the page, your choices and the dates of the request and confirmation. Your IP address is not stored. For the plan, the answers you gave (age, height, weight, sex, goal, activity, diet) are kept encrypted while you confirm: the key only exists in the link in the email you receive; they are deleted as soon as the plan is sent, or after 7 days without confirmation. Legal basis: your consent, which you confirm by opening the link in the email. This data is used only to send you the confirmation email and then what you asked for; it is never sold or used for advertising, and we do not track whether emails are opened. It is stored on our server in Switzerland; emails are sent through our email provider Lettermint (Netherlands). An address that came only for the plan is deleted as soon as the plan has been sent. Without confirmation, your address is deleted within 30 days (7 days for the plan); it is also deleted after the last announcement you asked for, or as soon as you unsubscribe using the link in every email. When you create an account from app.bizonik.com/commencer, you receive an email with your plan, as part of your sign-up; if you ticked the “news” box, we may write to you about Bizonik news, which you can withdraw at any time in Account > Privacy or with the unsubscribe link. Finally, we count how many people go through each step of /commencer, storing nothing but a number per day: no account, no address, no answer.
We only disclose your data to an authority when the law requires it.
7. Security
Encrypted connections, passwords never stored in plain text, a database isolated and unreachable from the internet, a server protected by a firewall and kept up to date, access restricted to the publisher, backups in Switzerland, encrypted as soon as they leave the server, with a test restore every month. No system is infallible: if an incident ever affected your data, we would notify the data protection authority and, if the risk to you is significant, tell you directly.
8. What stays on your phone
So that the app works without a connection, your phone keeps a copy of the screens you have opened, and the meals, photos and quick entries logged offline, until they are sent. Pending meals and photos are encrypted and tied to your account. Everything is erased when you log out, when another account logs in on the phone, when you delete your account, and within 30 days at the latest for anything that could not be sent.
9. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- See the data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct a piece of data (most can be corrected directly in the app).
- Erase your data.
- Pause a processing temporarily.
- Take your data with you in a file: in Account, the Export as JSON button. This full export is free for everyone; the spreadsheet export is included in the paid plans.
- Object to a processing based on our legitimate interest.
- Withdraw your consent, with no effect on what was done before.
- Decide what happens to your data after your death (if you live in France).
To exercise a right, write to benjamin@webstratege.co from your account’s email address. We answer within one month at most (if the request is complex, this can be extended by two months, and we will let you know).
If something is not right, you can also contact a data protection authority. As Bizonik is established in Hungary, the lead authority is the NAIH (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, naih.hu). You can also contact the authority of your country, for example the CNIL in France (cnil.fr). If you live in Switzerland, you have the same rights under the Federal Act on Data Protection and you can contact the FDPIC (edoeb.admin.ch).
10. Deleting your account
In the app: Account, then Delete my account, then confirm. Everything is erased at once: account, profile, log, photos, measurements, workouts and personal recipes. It is permanent. Remember to export your data first if you want to keep it.
Important: deleting your account does not stop your Apple subscription. Cancel it first in your iPhone settings (Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions).
You can also ask for deletion by email at benjamin@webstratege.co.
11. Minimum age
Bizonik is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about younger people. If you learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, write to us: we will delete it.
12. Cookies
The app only uses small cookies needed to work: the one that keeps you logged in, and those that remember your language, time zone and display settings. No advertising cookies, no audience measurement cookies, no tracking. The bizonik.com website sets no cookies at all.
13. If this page changes
If something important changes (new data, a new use, a new provider), we will tell you in the app before it applies, and ask for your consent again when needed. The date of the last update is at the top of this page.
